San Diego

As a lot of you know, Ive been busy going out of town again. This trip was really fun because we just sat at our beach condo and enjoyed the sunshine. I went by myself, meaning no Aaron and Spencer, and met my friends from Phoenix there, Casey, Amanda, and Matt. It was one of the most relaxing trips Ive ever had. We didnt really plan anything, except going to TJ one day. It was warm and perfect weather in TJ. We just walked around looking at all the different shops, and ate delicious tacos!! We sat daily in the jacuzzi, since it wasnt super duper warm every day there, however, one day we did go to the beach. (pic is of me and Amanda on the bus into TJ)

As most of you know, I LOVE the ocean. It is so fun to go and play in the waves and get knocked over, and feeling like you are on a roller coaster! This was one of those days. Enjoying the waves, by myself for a while, (no one wanted to come out with me to begin with) going deeper and further out. I was swimming and getting tired, so I decided to start swimming back, and a HUGEMONGUS wave hit me and pulled me under I got up ok, and started swimming towards shore, but the tow just kept pulling me under. Man the tow was strong.

By this time Matt had gotten in the water and was trying to pull me furter to the shore, but the tow just kept pulling harder and I was really going to drown. I sat there for a minute, after struggling with Matt, and thought " Im gonna die today" I really thought I was going to, and I was going to bring Matt with me, since he was trying to save me, bless his heart.

So, after panicking for a minute, I told him I was going to let the waves crash me into the rocks, cause I just couldnt swim anymore, I was exhausted and had drunk so much sea water that I thought I was going to throw up, so I saw a big wave coming and let it knock me into the rocks, that were super slippery cause they were covered by mussells, caught on and held for dear life. I started rock climbing to get out of the ocean followed by Matt and we luckily walked down the rocky pier together back to the beach. Scary stuff! Glad Im alive, with only a few scrapes, cuts and bruises to show for it. (Here is the pier of rocks we crashed into, and us walking back to the beach)

AGGHHH! I hated reading that. I think the ocean is so strong, and scary. I hate that feeling of losing control in the water. Don't do that again!!! Wear a life jacket! I'm glad you're still alive!
